While it is true that our law enforcement carry firearms and they do not in London, that does nothing to support your assertion that America is ‘full of idiots’, furthermore you seem to state that a person’s first impulse is to ’shot’ (I’m sure this was a typo and shouldn’t be an indictment of your spelling) on sight is in proportion to their proximity to a firearm. I agree that C.Perry’s post was equally unfortunate since he used the word ’should’ rather than ‘would’.

I have studied the picture mentioned above and given the low resolution I am unable to say with certainty that you are right. However I would have to say that C.Perry’s analysis is more probable since it would be very difficult, if not impossible, for the protester to make the gesture you suggest without looking ridiculous. It appears in your analysis the two extended fingers in the photograph would be the ‘pinky’ and ‘ring’ finger of his left hand. It appears to me that his ‘pinky’ is nearly as long as his ‘ring’ finger in the picture which even accounting for genetics, it isn’t the most probable case. I think the more interesting question is if C.Perry is correct, does this not make you a moron as well?

I agree with your first two choices, however you state for the man throwing the barricade that “he should have been shot”. This took place in London, not America. Therefore the first impulse of the police is not to shot on site. America is full of idiots.
Your third choice however is of a man holding up his two hands, one a closed fist and one in an open gesture enticing the police officers. He is not showing the middle finger.
