So much can happen in a day… especially these days.
In his short story “This Morning, This Evening, So Soon” James Baldwin explores the idea that one can encounter their past, present, and future within 24 hours. Indeed, my 22 years on this planet have shown me that lives can be broken, doors opened, relationships destroyed, and hopes restored all in the time that it takes for the sun to rise and set.
And so, this is a record of some of the happenings that touch the world, and my world, everyday. But moreover, this is a collection of the people, stories, ideas, things, feelings, philosophies, triumphs, sadnesses, hilarities, hopes, dreams, sights, conversations, figures, etc. that inspire and influence me—a small town boy from Texas, living and thriving in New York City—as I evolve into my best possible self.
This is my story. This is my song.—Travers
